Learn more about Ropel repellent As squirrels sniff and chew, they will come in contact with this foul tasting repellent which will encourage them to leave. It works indoors and out. Customers have sprayed it on decks, siding, and inside the attic with good results. It will need to be re-applied once every week or two to be most effective. Squirrels have been known to set up residency under car hoods and chew on rubber hoses, plastic tanks, and wiring. This can cause expensive damage. Ropel repellent works well in this application too. Many people apply Ropel after they have removed squirrels from their attics to keep new ones from entering. This product comes in 32 ounce and 1 gallon plastic containers. Both sizes come with a spray trigger. You simply point and squeeze the trigger to spray the repellent. When applying Ropel consider the material you are spraying. If it's wood, try to saturate the wood because the Ropel will soak in. If it's the hard rubber or plastic parts under a car, just a light coating will be necessary.

Squirrel Traps & BaitThe most effective method to get rid of squirrels! We recommend live traps. By using a live trap with bait, you can capture the squirrel unharmed and easily carry the trap outside your home. After capture, release the squirrel in a field at least 10 miles away. Squirrels are territorial and will return if released too close to home.We strongly recommend that you use a professional bait, such as Trappers Choice Paste. This non-toxic bait has been formulated in such a way that squirrels cannot ignore it. A tablespoon of it placed on the trip pan in the trap is strong enough to attract any squirrel. You will need to add some Sunflower seeds as a visual aid. Nuts or seeds do not give off enough aroma to attract squirrels, but when added to the bait, they are a combination that will attract squirrels from quite some distance away. This allows for quicker catches. Once you've relocated the squirrel, wait two weeks to be sure there are no others, then it's time to seal up the hole they used to enter your attic.
