Get rid of squirrels.

Squirrels bothering you?

Get rid of this trouble-maker with these easy-to-use products.

Throughout the year, squirrels may find their way into your home. If you are hearing noises in the attic during the day or night, you may have either tree squirrels or flying squirrels as unwanted guests. Once inside your attic, they will cause damage to insulation, rafters, and electric wires.

In fact, this problem has caused most insurance companies to add disclaimers about fires caused by squirrels. In general, they will not pay for damage caused by squirrels. This includes damage to the home as well as fires which are started by squirrels chewing on wires!

We have two ways to deal with this pest. The first involves the use of a live trap & bait. The second option is an all-natural repellent. Both methods are safe for children and pets.

Squirrel Traps & Bait

The most effective method to get rid of squirrels! We recommend live traps. By using a live trap with bait, you can capture the squirrel unharmed and easily carry the trap outside your home. After capture, release the squirrel in a field at least 10 miles away. Squirrels are territorial and will return if released too close to home.

We strongly recommend that you use a professional bait, such as Trappers Choice Paste. This non-toxic bait has been formulated in such a way that squirrels cannot ignore it. A tablespoon of it placed on the trip pan in the trap is strong enough to attract any squirrel.

You will need to add some Sunflower seeds as a visual aid. Nuts or seeds do not give off enough aroma to attract squirrels, but when added to the bait, they are a combination that will attract squirrels from quite some distance away. This allows for quicker catches.

Once you've relocated the squirrel, wait two weeks to be sure there are no others, then it's time to seal up the hole they used to enter your attic.

Squirrel Trap
We carry only commercial, professional-quality traps. Don't waste your money on a basic trap commonly found in hardware stores. Although these traps have been around a long time, they will not work as well as newer commercial designs.

Our live traps work well on all types of squirrels. They are easy to use, even if you have never used a trap before. Available in two sizes.

All-natural Repellent

In addition to traps and bait, you may want to use Ropel liquid repellent. This natural repellent simply tastes bad to the squirrels.

Ropel is not a poison and will not hurt any animals. It simply tastes bad.
